Class Descriptions:

Beginner classes are suitable for students who are new to yoga. The emphasis will be on standing, seated, and supine poses and preparations for beginning inversions like shoulderstand.

All level classes are suitable for all students, including those new to yoga or new to the Iyengar method. The emphasis will be on standing, seated, supine poses and preparations for inversions. More experienced students will have the opportunity to also practice more intermediate poses such and inversions such as Sirsasana (head balance) and Sarvangasana (shoulder balance).

Some yoga props are available to borrow; however, it is recommended you bring the following to class if possible:

  • Yoga Mat
  • 2 Yoga Bricks
  • 4-5 Yoga Blocks
  • 1-2 Yoga Belts/Straps
  • 1 Bolster
  • 1 yoga chair (You will be informed ahead of time if a chair will be used in a session.)
